A STORIED HISTORY
Once an iconic NYC jewelry house in the 20th century, CASTLECLIFF’s history began over 100 years ago at the very dawn of American made costume jewelry. Established in 1918, CASTLECLIFF produced their colorful and playful jewels from 1940 to the early 1970’s in the heart of NYC.
The designs of CASTLECLIFF today pick up from where it’s last collection left off with bold, 1970’s silhouettes. Our collections are inspired by everything from Pre-Columbian artifacts, to the botanicals of the Sonoran desert, to the glamour of 1970’s nightlife, all encapsulating CASTLECLIFF’s signature style celebrating color and scale.
EARTH FRIENDLY & SUSTAINABLE
Sustainable sourcing, creative up-cycling and ethical, US based manufacturing are at the heart of CASTLECLIFF’s brand ethos. Every one of our castings is made of 100% recycled brass and collaged with relics of the past, as we incorporate vintage glass stones, chains and elements from CASTLECLIFF’s archives into every new adornment.
Remnants of a wasteful industry have become the building blocks of our modern accessories. In a world of disposable fashion, we’ve restored CASTLECLIFF to its former glory with a modern perspective, creating sustainable and responsibly manufactured costume jewelry for the 21st century.
